The Small Steps That Lead to Big Breakthroughs in Your Business Journey
Imagine us sitting down over coffee or tea, sharing stories about the highs and lows of business, the moments of doubt, and the incredible ways God shows up in our lives. One thing I know and have seen firsthand is that taking action with faith can change everything.
Maybe you’ve felt that nudge in your heart, that “holy fire” you just can’t ignore. You feel it’s time to do something new or take your business to the next level. Maybe you even feel God’s been speaking to you in ways that are hard to ignore, maybe even shouting at you! 😄 I’ve been there, too, and it’s part of why I want to share this with you: the secret of faith-based action.
Faith Without Action is Just a Dream
You might have heard the saying from James 2:17, “Faith without works is dead.” And it’s true. It wasn’t until I started stepping out in faith, moving even when I couldn’t see the full road ahead, that I began to see real growth in my VA business. Faith is all about believing, even when we don’t have the whole picture.
There’s something God does in these “unknowns.” He reveals each step one by one so we’re not overwhelmed by the big picture.
If, ten years ago, He had shown me that I’d be running a thriving VA business and teaching other women to do the same, I would have laughed (maybe even harder than Sarah did in the Bible when she heard she’d be having a baby in her nineties!). Back then, my plan was simple: find something I could do from home, maybe selling homebread to help pay the bills. But His plans? They were higher, bigger, and richer than I could have imagined.
Small Steps Make Big Differences
What I learned along the way is that every small step matters. Each time I acted on the nudge I felt in my heart, I moved closer to the vision God had for me. And trust me, each of those steps took courage and sometimes a leap of faith. Taking action doesn’t always feel easy or natural. But with faith, we learn to take steps even when we don’t know where they’ll lead, trusting that God is guiding us.
If you’re wondering, “But where do I start?” here’s my advice: start with that small step right in front of you. It could be reaching out to that new client, signing up for a class, or even starting your own VA business if that’s the dream God has placed in your heart.
Each of these steps is significant because it’s one step closer to fulfilling the purpose God has for you.
It’s Okay if You Don’t See the Full Picture
God doesn’t always reveal the entire journey at once, and that’s okay. I believe it’s His way of preparing us, giving us what we can handle, one step at a time. With each step, He strengthens our faith and our confidence, growing us into the people He knows we can be.
Taking action with faith is about so much more than building a business; it’s about living in alignment with God’s purpose for us, even when the path isn’t fully clear. And as you step out in faith, He’ll open doors you didn’t know existed, make a way where there seems to be none and bring beauty from even the smallest steps of obedience.
So, friend, take that step. Even if you’re unsure, even if it feels small, trust that with every step you take, God is moving with you. Remember, this journey isn’t just about reaching a destination but growing closer to Him as you take each step in faith.
I’m here cheering you on because I know the beauty that lies ahead when we trust Him with each step of our journey. Keep going; God has amazing things in store for you!
